Transportation Reimbursement

My wife's employer is doing retail business.
The employer force her and other staffs (promoter) to retail outlet which is in 30 to 50km away from the office but refuse to pay or provide transportation. If they drive, they even have to pay the petrol, tolls and parking tickets themselves.

Their contract said that the employer is able to relocate them but said nothing about the transportation cost. No transportation allowance is provided in their contract.

Do the employer correct?

I think that is something they have to sort out with their employer. They will have to negotiate. They may also approach the Labour Department see whether they can be of any help.

Thanks

I don't think they will be able negotiate since most of the promoters are not even finish school and too timid to talk about all this with the employer. The employer knew about this and exploit them.

The best thing to do is to ask my wife to resign from the company.

Yes, get a job nearby will be most ideal.
