Am I allowed to leave be4 my contract ends?

I've signed a 5 1/2years contract with my current company.

My last date of bond ends this December 2010.

As I know that I've worked more than 5 years in that company and I have to give 2 months notice prior to my resignation.

Is it possible that I'm allowed to tender my resignation letter end of October, just in time for the 2 months notice and leave the organization by end of December?
