Dear Mr Siew

Would appreciate your view/advice on the case where employees misusing company's corporate credit card for personal expenses? Can an employer issue a 1st warning letter, also recovering the amount via salary deductions ?

Was he asked to give an explanation and that he has to pay back by salary deduction? What was his reply?

Mr Siew,

He admitted the mistake and take note of the violation of policy, and had paid back the company. But, the same happened again in the following months.

What's your advise?

If you are not going to take disciplinary action against him then (1). Take back the credit card or (2) if it is not feasible to do so, work out his private spending each month and deduct accordingly.
