Can a Co. pay overtime only on a full hour per day?If I worked only for 45mins for the day,I will not be paid as this is less than an hour's ot.Please advise.Thank you.

In my opinion, if a worker is required by his employer to work overtime, he has to be paid OT for the amount of overtime work. It is not to the full hour or the nearest hour. If you pay OT according to exact hours and minutes of overtime work, I don't think anybody can wrong you. Besides the Employment Act does not it is to the nearest hours, that is to say if less than one hour, no OT and if over half hour OT for 1 hour. Check with the Labour Department.
