Hi!

I have recently joined to a new company & was started my work with this company on 27th July. Understood from my HR department that the pro-rated calculation on my salary is based on the calender days (31days) instead of on the working days of the month. Is this the right way in pro-rated salary calculation according to Malaysian Labour Law?

For July, you should get (your salary/31) x 5 days (27 Jul - 31 Jul)

The formula based on calendar days your HR Dept uses is acceptable as long as it is the only formula being used for both reimbursement and deduction cases.
