deduction of no pay leave

I am earning more than RM6000. I have taken 8.5 days of leave during my probation period(6mths). The company has deducted my pay for the 8.5 days on my 4th month salary.

Is it right for them to deduct the amount at one go?

Can they deduct without telling me?

Your advise will help me to decide on my next move.

Hi, just drop a message here, If I'm not wrong they have the right to deduct your salary ma... U takes 8.5 day UNPAID LEAVE.. what u mean at your 4th months salary?? They shall only deduct 8.5days in 1 months.. AM I RIGHT??

You mean the 8.5 days were taken over a number of months and deducted your salary only in the 4th month? Could it be that they discovered those leave only in the 4th month due clerical oversight? If that is so, there is nothing much you can do or worth doing besides giving them a piece of your mind
