i m currently in my 3rd month of probation. i'm being paid RM1000 with no overtime. in my contract it states "less than 3 yrs of service-your leave entitlement are 8 days annual leave". I was given no other statement or comment regarding annual leave during these 3 months. In my current month, I had taken 2 days off by applying for the leave and getting it signed and approved by the director of the company. i was not told anything during the time i applied either regarding the matter. however, when i receiv

Strictly speaking you are not entitled to paid leave until you have completed 12 months continous service. See Section below:

"...60E. (1) An employee shall be entitled to paid annual leave of :

(a) eight days for every twelve months of continuous service with the same employer if he has been employed by that employer for a period of less than two years; ......"

Your employer is not wrong in deducting 2 days salary for that.
