I have a few question,and seek you advise in this matter.1. Can our company start to paid daily wages to Foreign Worker starting on 1st april 2020-if yes what is the procedure.?2. Currently we got contract staff that join on 16 march then the PKP start on 18 march, can we as employer KIV the contract although the staff already sign the contract? It is called temporary layyoff?Thank you for your advise, really appriciate in this matter.

1. You can do that but you must give them a written contract of service stating all the term and conditions like wages, working hours, sick leave, annual leave, public holidays entitlement etc. But for those currently on monthly paid workers, they may have to agree to the change.

2. If they have not already started work, you may inform them the contract is postponed   until further notice in view of the current situation.

remember to deduct the foreign worker levy and hold their passport
