Maternity Leave Entitlement

Hi Admin, 

Accoding to EA employess have to fulfill these 2 criteria in order to get Meternity Leave, 

(i) she has been employed by the employer at any time in the four months immediately before her confinement; and

(ii) she has been employed by the employer for a period of, or periods amounting in the aggregate to, not less than ninety days during the nine months immediately before her confinement.

For (ii) - 90 days refer to 90 consecutive days or 90 working days ?

It is neither, it is about aggregate of period or periods of employment. For example, during the 9 months, an employee may work for say two months, resigned and came back be employed again for a period and so on. If the period or period added up to a total of 90 days then she is entitled to maternity benefit.
