Termination of confirm staff and now MIA

Hi,

1. Can we terminate a confirmed employee due to the failure of notification of absence for more than 3 working days? I was unable to contact the said employee as he has blocked my number.

2. Since he is a confirmed staff he has to give the company 2 months' notice if he was to resign, since he MIA does the company still pay him 2-month pay or can we claim one month of salary as compensation for termination his services without giving prior notice or can we pay him up to the day of services. 

Please advised.

You can write to him asking him to pay two months salary as compensation for quiting without notice. Meanwhile, withhold whatever salary his still has with the company.
