Hi Sir,I would like to clarify this matter where my colleague was terminated with 1 month of payment in lieu on 16 july. She have filed the case in labour office due to unsatisfaction matter. Meanwhile, the management had promised her that her salary will be paid on 10th of august. But on 10th she found the salary yet to be in & when she called the office they said it will be on hold since she have filled the case.Is this a right way or she should have received the salary as per promised?

Since the employer said like that, she may have to wait for the Labour Department to take action. The Labour Department will take some time to finalise your case as the department will have to fix a date to call both you and the employer up for meeting to discuss your complaint and decide. Meanwhile, she can contact the Labour Department about the status of her case.

Noted and thank you for the explanation. That means since her case is on the 28th of this month, she have to wait till the case to be finalized then only she eligible to get her final salary?

You mean she has been requested to be present at the Labour Department on 28 August ? If it is, she has to be there on that day. The employer may also be there at the same time. The officer will meeting and discuss with both and decide about the case concerning here salary.
