Unwritten rules

I served a slice of cake to the wrong table but my boss only told me today that there is a rule that "served food cannot take to another table" and demanded me to pay for the cake and slice a new one for the correct table. The rule was never written and never mentioned up until today. Is it legal for him to demand me to pay for it? Under which article?

Sounds ridiculous. Anyway, don't pay. If your salary is deducted for that piece of cake, bring the matter up with the Labour Department.

I refused to pay (the old cake is kept back and a new slice is served) and my boss decided to punish me by making me work OT without pay. Is this illegal? Under which article?

You may have to bring the matter up with the Labour Department.
