Dear Ms Siew,

Good afternoon, Ms Siew, can Ms Siew help me to check whether my calculation is correct if i want to terminate one of my staff end of this month (Jun 2019). He joined at 19/12/2016 and his basic is RM 2,050.00 and allowance is RM 50.00. His service is 2.5 years.

calculation : RM 2,050.00 + RM 50.00  x  12 mths    x  15 days   x  2.5 years

                        365 days

                = RM 2,589.04

(Is this amount of RM 2,589.04 need to be paid to my staff ??? )

And one more question, does this compensation same to all level of position - no method senior, junior, manager, top management ?

Refer to the Employment(Termination and Layoff Benefits)Regulations for details about compensation.

Yes, termination benefits must be paid to the employees concerned.
