Change in notice period without EE consent

Hope you are well.

As my contract was stated clearly that my notice period is 2 months (joined in 2016), however was been informed by the HR that the policy has been changed from 2 months to 3 months for all the confirmed employee effective year 2019.

So would like to seek for your advice if company could simply change the notice period without any acknowledgement/consent from the employee? Althought there is this clause stating "I agree to abide by the rules,regulations and other XXX Company policies as applicable, enforced, amended or altered from time to time during the course of my employment and abide by any agreement entered myself and XXX".

Give a call to the Labour Department and discuss the issue with one of the officers there and get an official ruling. To this is just an admin procedure and what's more, the change not only affects the employees but also affects the employee equally.
