may i know how many times a staff can be extended for probation of employment. scenario: normal probation is 3 mos. a staff has been extended for first time for 1 month. when it is due for confirmation, the superior extend the staff for second time for another a month.

until how many times/ mons a staff can be extended before company can terminate him/ her for unsuccesfull of probation. fyi, our company policy is 24hours notification of termination under probation.

Extensions can be given until employer is satisfied with his performance.

But, it is the duty of the employer to give adequate training for the job. His superior cannot just leave him to fend for himself without any guidance or training.

Whatever reasons given by the employer for termination of service, the employee always has the right to bring the matter up with either the Labour Department or the Industrial Relations Department.
