Overtaken Sick Leave

Hi Sir, I would like to check if a staff work below 2 years(entitle 14 days sick leave per annum) but she already overtaken the sick leave. 
For example from January-April month already taken total 19 days sick leave. The overtaken 5 days, company is it can deduct as unpaid leave? Is that legal?

If he still has available annual leave, he can use his AL or if no more annual leave, it will be no-pay leave. It is not unlawful.
