Hi, i started to work with this company on November 2017 as a part-time worker, which only works 3 days a week. Subsequently, my boss requested me to work for 5-days a week with a monthly salary, together with EPF, Socso and EIS starting September 2018.

However, in my contract, it did not state any annual leave or maternity leave/allowance entitlement. I'm still consider as a contractor to my company as they do not want to employ permanent staff.

I'm now pregnant and my due date is end of October 2019.

My question now is, do i entitle for any maternity leave / maternity allowance?

I think you should be entitled to get 60 days maternity leave with pay. If there is any problem in getting the benefit, you can report the matter to the Labour Department.

Hi Siew. Thanks for your reply. So it's doesn't matter if my monthly salary is higher than RM2,000?
