If the MC is issued by a registered medical practitioner after examination at the expense of the employer, it will not be right for the employer to ask the employee to attend at work on the days duly stated as not fit to work by the said medical practitioner.
The employer has the rights not to accept the MC if it is issued by a medical practitioner not at the expense of the employer.
The employer should appoint a panel clinic for the employees to seek treatment; and if the employees go to a non-panel clinic their MC can be rejected.
