Showcause Letter

Can HR issue a showcause letter for the employee / the department for who did not submit the commission claims in a reasonable timeline? As this has caused the Finance Department been chasing the sales team to submit the commission claim for a 8 months and the sales team still failed to comply to our policy.

As per our policy, the sales team is require to submit commission claim every month. However, the sales team fail to submit for about 8 months.

Please advice.

If there is an element of wrongdoing, HR can issue a show cause letter.

However, you may impose a rule that will void the claim for commission if it is not submitted within the given due date. This may alert them to obey the submission date so they will not lose their commission.
