As a P.A. not suppose to have 1 hour lunch??

Dear Administrator,

Good day to you!  I am working in a construction firm as a P.A (appointment letter stated) but never handle any of the personal matter for the boss.  The big boss ask me whether I know as a P.A not suppose to have 1 hour lunch.  May I know whether in the labour law as a P.A. really not suppose to have 1 hour lunch??  Thanks

60A. (1) Except as hereinafter provided, an employee shall not be required under his contract of service to work—(a) more than five consecutive hours without a period of leisure of not less than thirty minutes duration.

It Is industrial practice to have 1-hour lunch but law say “not less than 30 min” instead on 1 hour

However, it still go back to job nature, as PA you should plan your lunch so you can cater to your boss need @ anytime.

And for your boss, he should understand the need to have lunch as well.
