off day and replacement off day questions

working environment = retail (department store)
working days = 6 days (10am - 7pm), off day on friday.


  1. employer force to signed a letter for agree to work full day (10am - 10pm) on any 2 days a week of working days without any OT or compensations.
  2. need to apply if want to off on delacred PH like taken leave and subject to approval.
  3. working on declared public holiday (eg. raya etc) only entitle 1 replacement off day.
  4. any replacement off day (item 3) for working on off day or public holiday cannot be use on weekend.
  5. another case is working on 10am-10pm and 9.30am-10am, they calculate the OT time is the same which is 2 hours. it should have 30 min more for working on 9.30-10pm.

need to know is the employer have rights to implement above point as they like without follow the rules? thanks  for advise.

Just don sign any undertaking with unfavourable terms and conditions. Bring the matter up with the Labour Department if necessary.
