Hi,
Good day.
I have a question to ask. My friend encounter this problem.
After signed the appointment letter, my friend receive phone call from the new employer saying they cancel the hiring due to current economic situation.
The problem is my friend had submitted the resignation letter to the current employer.
Will my friend be able to ask for compensate from the new company?
and how much can my friend ask? 2 weeks or 1 month compensate?
Please kindly advice. Thank you

That's pretty bad. Consult a lawyer see whether your friend can sue that company or not.
