SALARY CALCULATION OF RESIGNATION STAFF

Hi,

Good day to you!

I have a staff who last day come to work is on 16/3/2018 until 3/4/2018 just come back our company and submit his official resignation letter. He do not has any balance of annual leave left. Now i need your advise for to calculate his salary. Our payroll system is calculate days of the month. eg. March 18 have  total 31 days.

My calculation as below listed:

Basic Salary / days of the month x no. of working days = Total March salary

RM1700 / 31 X 16 = RM877.42.

Please advise am i in the right way of this calculation?
