Good day !

I have a staff taking a long unpaid leave for almost 1 whole month. In this case, do I calculate the unpaid leave based on no. of working days (22 days) or the total no. of days (31 days) in this month?

Is there a specific guideline from the Malaysia Labour Law?

Thank you for the advise in advance!

Best regards, Pang

you can use total day in the month to count wage for the month

or you may share the working day in the month so we can help you to calculate

Hi Gon,

The working days in this month is 22 days.

So either way of calculation is legal ?

Thank you.

My staff is working on 1/3 and 2/3, and taken unpaid leave for the rest of the days in March.

Do I count his salary for March as formulae: [(salary/31 days) x 2 days] ?

Or I have to include the paid weekends offday?

Thank you.
