Calculation of annual leave when resigning

Hi! I joined the company on 09/10/2017 and recently tender my resignation. Can I know how many days annual leave balance will I have? If follow the law where by 8 days for staff serve less than 2 years continuously in the same company. My HR use the calculation formula as 31/365*8 = entitled leave. Please advise.

if you last day in 31 Jan then 31/365*8 will be applicable to calculate your AL entitlement for this year only

Thanks for the fast reply. So, can I know how many days of entitled leave for my case? I start work on 09/10/2017 until my last working day 31/03/2018. Pls advise.

from 9 oct - 31 March = 173/365*8=3.79 rounded to be 4 days

Is that this calculation apply for all kind of job or position level? I am working as retail associate with basic salary RM2,500, no allowance, OT rate flat rate RM10/hour, every months compulsory 12 days full shift (10am - 10pm), noon shift (1pm - 10pm). Please advise.

Add-on information. I get my confirmation start on 09/01/2018. So, what is the calculation for  my entitled leave? Balance?

for me, confirmed or not confirmed, the calculation is the same..unless your company leave policy is different
