May i know is the employee with basic salary RM2100 (working hours is 60 per week, with no OT), is covered by Employment Law?

Thank you.

If he is an office staff, he is then not covered by the EA but it is more a case of exploitation if his employer does not want to pay extra for requiring him to work long hours.

Hi Mr Siew,

if not covered by EA, working more than 48 hours per week will have no OT?

* stated in the contract signed- basic is equal to 60 working hours per week

Then it looks like you have been short changed. clever employer. Give a call to the Labour Department and talk to the officer there see what he says.
