Hi there,

recently, I got a new job which working in a office environment.

During the interview, the employer had said that they didnt pay for ther overtime. The working hour is from 9am to 5.30pm

So, i work until 5.30pm sharp. If i was required to stay late, can i refuse to stay back there for addition working hour?

Second, if a employee required to work 24 hours, can he or she get a double pay rate/ overtime rate and or entitle for a leave automatically?

yes, it your right to go back 5.30pm and they cant charges your insubordination etc etc

However, if you go back sharp sharp before complete the urgent task then your performance rating will affected

Work more than 8 working hour, excess hour shall be consider as overtime. Leave entitlement is subject to company policy
