termination of employement contract

i need some help and advice. I left my previous banking job to join company A around January this year with the condition that i need to serve the company for 1 year before i am allow to terminate my contract. (part of my sign on package). 1 month after passing my probation, i was told my role had been made redundant due to restructuring and reOrg. I was given 1 month of notice and pay (from the notification date) and additional 1 month of pay as part of severance package. This has been hard on me and family due to my position/income level as i scramble to look for a new job as soon as i can. I have tried to Nego a better severance package but it was rejected. What is my rights in this situation?

I think you better go to the Industrial Relations Department and discuss the issue with the officer there and get some official advice.
