Work on a public holiday

My company has a practice of weekend support where an employee is given the company hotline where they supposed to support the company support raised by Customer.

The manager has assigned my duty for the Weekend of Hari Raya and when I requested for it to swapped with another employee. I was told it is my responsibility to make changes accordingly.

To my question:

1. Is it legal for the company to place me on support for a religious observance. Given there are non muslim in the company.

2. Should the company not ask me if I am willing to support rather than force.

3. Is it my responsibility to find a replacement.

4. I have leave approved before and after the holiday. So how does it be my responsibility to reassign

I believe that manning customer support is part of your work or duties. The employee can't reject a legal and reasonable work instruction from the employer. In my opinion, making the employee concerned to make his own arrangement for another colleague to take over this duty seems to be a reasonable request. To me, if the employee challenges the employer on this issue, he is on dangerous ground.
