would like you to explain to me what exactly does it mean by "dismissal after due inquiry"?

Actually, "inquiry" is not defined in the Employment Act like how the process should be, what are the procedures and what should be its constitution and so on. However, it is commonly referred to as domestic inquiry. The Industrial Court and High Courts have ruled on this about how it should be constituted, how the procedure should be. So, "dismissal after due inquiry" can be taken to mean dismissal after a domestic inquiry has been held to determine it.
