My staff start her maternity leave on 13 Aug and should resume work on 12 Oct. But she would like to resume work earlier on 1st Oct.

Please to check, is there any rules that company need to pay her double pay on 1st Oct to 12 Oct, being work on maternity leave.

What is the actual situation? Is it the company wants her to resume work earlier or she herself wants to return to work earlier because of feeling bored or other reasons. If it is the former, it is only reasonable to pay her on top of the maternity allowance. If it is on her own volition, that's a difference story. Better clarify properly with her in order to avoid dispute in future.

She herself wanted to resume work earlier.

She resume work earlier is because she would like to earn her commission. She is a sales person in my company.

So, both of you should make it very clear about maternity allowance for resuming work earlier and don't dispute in future.
