1. Is there a particular amount per annum that the company must give to an employee for medical claims? If so, how much?

2. How many days is maternity leave? Does it start the day she applies for leave or the day of birth?

3. In regards to contracted staff what does the company need to offer them as a basic term in the employment contract?

1. No law about that, it depends on the terms and condition in your contract of service or company own policy on medical benefits.

2. 60 days from date of child birth unless doctor certifies otherwise. Read up the Employment Act.

3. Of course, there should be written terms and conditions.
