Early Termination Notice and the last day is after the Maternity Leave Ends

To Whom It May Concern,Currently i am pregnant at 7 months. I am planning to give early resignation notice so that my last service with the company is officially ends after i my 2 months maternity leaves. May I know with this governed by the Labor Law or protected by Law? Because i am not sure will my decision against by law or not.Your assistance and advises is highly appreciated.Thanks.LayTheng, Ng

If your resignation notice coincide with maternity leave, your employer may not pay you your maternity allowance, which may be used as indemnity in lieu of notice. One should work during notice period.  You better discuss with your employer whether it is OK for to do that without forfeiting your maternity allowance. Otherwise, you should give notice only after maternity leave.
