discrimination inquiry

Hello there! Our company ceo had promised to pay the staff salary on 22nd of December during our staff meeting previously and on the 23rd December no payment was done. I texted the HR to get further clarification but was ignored. However later on that night, I receive a notification from a friend that had forwarded the HR text to him which stated "Salary already credited into bank account for those who are celebrating Christmas. Others will only be credited next week. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!".My question is does the act of the company amount to a discrimination with regards to faith since the payment was not done accordingly as promised to all the staffs? what action can I take? I do feel that it is not fair for other staffs of different faith. Thanks in advance.

Give a call to the Labour Department and ask for official views.
