Dear Mr. Siew,

Hope you are doing well.

I wish to get your advice on resignation and buy out notice.

Currently, i have got an offer from another company. The new Company would like buy me out, hence i would like serve notice of 1.5 months and give payment in lieu of 1.5 months.

Kindly advice whether following terms stated in letter of offer in my current company could hold me/ stop me from resign by giving payment in lieu.

Confirmation in Service/ Termination Notice

Confirmation in service after the three (3) months probation or such extended time as the case may be is at the sole discretion of the Company. On your being confirmed in service, either party will be required to serve three (3) months notice to terminate the employment with or without assigning any reason. Salary may be paid in lieu of notice provided that the notice required give shall not be taken to prevent either party from waiving his right to notice.

Your soonest reply is much appreciated.

First you should give 3 months notice, after working 1.5 months and then pay 1.5 months salary as indemnity and go.
