Dear Sir/madam,

I'm working in sdn bhd company in Restaurant, one of protocol/practice of doing event is get customer sign copy of bill of event. One such event was guest already paid agreed amount via online as per contract. On the event day itself the guest leave without informing anybody (as they rush for their next meeting) and as such we not able to get their sign. We have CCTV to show they consumed the foods and basically every employee was there as witness. Now , my general manager send email indicating if we don't get their sign, he will deduct my salary as mush as amount in bill even tough they(account)  already received full amount from guest. please advise if they have right to do it so and what steps i have to take if such deduction happen.

If deductions were already made from your salary, you can go and make a complaint at the Labour Department. The may investigate whether the deductions are lawful or not.
