Termination on probation - Employer

Our company have a Finance Manager that are still under probation (current 6 month) that is under performing. The customer accounts and SOA are all mess up by this guy after he join and we have lose few VIP customer because of his service failure.

I would like to know is there any way to terminate him. Or can we just give a 7 days notice of termination and ask him to leave?

If you even want to terminate his service, you have to refer to the contract of service see what is the notice period for termination of service. It may not be just 7 days. Or you can talk to him about his ability or the lack of it see whether he is willing to leave, mutually agreed, with some offer from the company.
