I've been offered as a Head of Audit Dept (Manager rank) in my company. Position offered (Head of Audit) was stated in the letter offer. After 6 months of probation period, I have received a confirmation letter from my company. My position also stated in the confirmation letter. Later, after a few months, I have received a letter from HR saying that the position that I currently held, would be replaced by another person (new staff joining from outside). In the letter, they have not giving any valid reason for such replacement. Apart from that, I would be reporting to the new staff under the same department. However, the letter stated that my rank as a Manager still remain, as well as my salary and other benefits. Is there any breach of contract in my case?
If you ask me, I don't see any wrong about that. Consult the IR Department and see what they say about it.
