I worked in this company 5 years and 2.5 months. My basic salary was RM6,000/- and fixed allowance is RM500 per month. My notice period is 2 months.

I received a retrenchment letter on 2 March 2016. The Company pay retrenchment benefit RM6,000/- X 5.33 X 1 = RM31,980/-.Also, the company also immediate release me on same day and pay me RM6,000/- X 2 months = RM12,000/-

My question is "can the Company's payment of retrenchment benefit and the payment of immediate release just based on my basic salary without consider my fixed allowance RM500/-"?  

I am thinking that if serve the notice of 2 months, I will get RM6,500/-.

Kindly advice.

Hi,I just told by my company director that, our company can only sustain until end of this month which is 31st Mar 2016.She had already paid me this month salary in advance on today.Do I still have to write the resignation letter to my company and stick to the 2 months notice or just left the company on the end of this month please?Because I got the new job offer and hopefully I can join their company on the 1st May 2016 and already signed the letter of offer on today. Appreciate your proper procedure for my case.Thanks
