Hi Sir,

1. does manager and supervisors get double pay if working on a gazetted public holidays such as Sultan Selangor's Birthday, labour day, merdeka day etc.

2. Does a manager and supervisor working at restaurant considered as conducting manual labour?

3. i heard some of the old timers saying that a manager (hotel/restaurant) is considered as managing manual labour and is entitled to claim overtime pay even the salary is rm4000. is it true about this information i get?

Please help me clarify this matter as i am new to being a manager.

I would like you to get official opinion from the official source: the Labour Department. You can either go there in person or by phone to get the clarification you require.
