Employee A was asking by the manager to bank in cash sales of RM1019.00 on 18/10/15. However, he only bank-in RM919.00 and short RM100.00. In this case, we have prove that Employee A was stolen money of RM100.00 on that day. He informed that he will paid back RM100.00 in the following day. However, he informed that he want to resign with immediately effect on 21/10/15 by watapp.
According to our company policies, he should give one month notice to the company.Shall i treat this issue of absent to work or misconduct? Please confirm.
1) Last Salary Paid: 18/10/15 ( is it i can direct deduct one month salary in-lieu of notice), therefore, no salary paid to him in Oct 15.
2) Is the company have the right to deduct of RM100.00 toward him (we have prove).
3) Is it i must issue termination letter?
Write to him about his resignation without giving one month notice and say the company wants to claim one month compensation from him in lieu of notice. Also tell him how much he is supposed to pay the company after deducting from his balance of salary and the RM100.
