Employee frequently absent to work

Good afternoon.

Would like to ask if an employee constantly absent from work (few days per month) without prior leave application and did not submit leave form thereafter. He gave a lots reasons and excuses for this matter.Company has been talking to him for many time regarding this and served him a warning letter as well. But there is no improvement from him. What is the next action can company take? Can company terminate him?

What more can you do? Give him a last warning that disciplinary action will be taken against him and he will be liable to face instant dismissal.
