I agreed to start work in August. Unfortunately 1 August was a Saturday therefore my first day of work is on the 3 August 2015. Logically I would have work full 21 working days for that month. Therefore am i correct to assume that my salary should be paid in full instead of being pro rated. Salary/31×29. Is it possible to pro rate based on the number of working days?I no longer fall under the employment act (exceed the salary bracket).

What is the commencement date stating in your appointment letter?

Hi, Im facing the same problem. And commencement date stating in my contract is 3rd of August, does that means it is possible for company to calculate my salary based on pro-rate (2100*29/31) instead of the agreed monthly salary (2100)?
