Please can you advice me:
1) What is the minimum medical claim that should be cover by a company under Employment Act? I cannot find any related information from Employment Act.
2) Apart from SOCSO, it is a MUST for a company to buy insurance for their staffs under Employment Act? The reason why I am asking you is because nowadays it seems like a norm for company to buy insurance for their staffs.
The reason why you can't find a limit from the act is because there's no limit.
However, all the claims must accompanied by a valid MC and once the employee has fully utilized the sick leaves, the company may choose not to reimburse the claim.
Also, the act only covers those who are earning RM2000.00/- and below plus the manual labor regardless of their salary.For insurance, it's not compulsory by the law but rather an additional benefit for the employee to attract people joining your organization and other purposes.
