I have recently signed a new employment contract with a new company, but I have decided to stay in my current company now.
There is a statement stated in the contract that once I signed the contract, it shall be legally binding. But I have not started work in the new company yet and there is no terms stated that I should compensate the company if I terminate the contract before commencing work.
The only relevant terms stated is the usual notice period required for probation period and after confirmation.
My question is, whether there is any employment relationship exist even I have not started working yet? Am I have to pay the company notice in lieu equivalent to a probationer?
