An employee has submitted resignation back in March 20th and has to serve 1 month's notice, so the last day of service would be 19th April (but since it's a Sunday, last day of service is 17th April, Friday) but salary-wise up to 19th April.
Am I right to say that the said employee's salary for April will be tabulated up to 19th April, and not up to 30th April ?
Furthermore, does the employee has right to claim for salary during period the from 20th April until 30th April as the employee is no longer serving nor part of the company during that period?
Salary to be paid up to 19 April only and no more after that.

In a case where an employee requests to leave earlier (not serve the full notice period) and requests for a full months salary (service for full notice period) do we, as the company, still pay the salary?.
Since employee is not serving full notice period, are we obligated to pay the 1 month salary (or partially), or does the employee owe the company 1 month salary instead for not serving the notice period?
It is stated in our T&C ;
"After confirmation, the notice of termination to be given by either party shall be ONE (1) months’ notice in writing or payment of ONE (1) month's salary in lieu of notice."
