change of resignation policy

currently, in my company, should an employee resign with 24hrs notice or 1 month notice, she/he will need to pay one may salary.

however, recently my company has changed the policy that for any resignation less than 3 months notice..she/he needs to pay 3 months salary.

does this change allowable or the 3months in lieu payment is allowable under the act?

If you don't agree tell the management so. Otherwise, you can always seek help from the Labour Department see whether the matter can be settled amicably.
