Fixed allowance proration due to unpaid leave deduction

Hello to all HR personnel,

Need advice on the below:

The employee's monthly salary is consist of basic salary and fixed allowance (eg. petrol allowance and parking allowance).

If he/she took unpaid leave due to exhausted paid leave, do we pro-rate and deduct the fixed allowance as well? Or should we just deduct the basic salary only?

Is there a standard/lawful practice on the above in Malaysia?

I am reluctant to consult Labour Office as different consultants will provide different comment/advice.

Use basic + allowance for that.
