Hi,

We have a staff joined on Feb 2014. Due to poor performance (surf unrelated website/youtube, not concentrate, chatting, late coming), he had been given a warning letter on 1 April and extended probation till Aug.

This month is his second appraisal, his performance is still not up to level we expected from him. 

Can we downgrade his level (senior to junior) and cut his salary?

Please advise. Thank you.

Hold a domestic inquiry first and then go according to Section 14 of the Employment Act.
