What is the min. termination notice required by labour law for probation and confirmation employees?

Sec 12(2) EA 1955 -

The length of such notice shall be the same for both employer and employee................, in the absence of such provision in writing, shall not be less than -

(a) four weeks for employment of less than two years

(b) six weeks for employment of two years or more but less than five years

(c) eight weeks for employment of five years or more
